Pullets Rearing
We rear 1.5 million point of lay pullets annually, representing a third of the overall Irish market. We can provide many different pullet breeds including ISA brown, Shaver, Lohmann, Hyline, Bovan, Warren, Dekalb and more. Our rearing systems are designed to suit our customers’ needs with targeted pro-active approaches to your bird health via nutrition, vaccination and technical management to provide the very best engine for your laying system.
Turkey Growing
We specialise in the rearing of a million day-old to fully grown turkeys. We have sophisticated whole house brooding sites specific to rearing quality birds. All our turkeys are Bord Bia Quality approved ensuring our birds are reared to the highest welfare standards. We pride ourselves on being able to produce to an all year-round market including the seasonal markets of Christmas and Easter.
Safe Transport
All of our livestock options are safely transported to our customers without failing delivery. We are on time, as always, while ensuring quality.

Brief History
of Whitaker Group
Whitakers was established in Cork in 1905. Initially the business was to pack butter and eggs for the export market. This in turn led us to breed and hatch our own poultry stock. This was a seasonal trade to begin with which has grown over time to become an all year round business. We began to hatch day old chicks and turkey poults in our hatchery in the centre of Cork city. We then progressed to growing the stock as we found that grown birds best suited our customers.
