Padraig McKenna (Managing Director)
Padraig joined Whitakers in 2001, his qualifications consisted of National Diploma (with Merit) in Business Studies for The Dundalk Institute of Technology. He also has a Higher National Diploma (with Distinction) in Poultry Production and Management from The Scottish Agricultural College. Padraig is currently responsible for all our flock rearing, advising suppliers and keeping sites to a modern standard. He oversees all aspects of growing and also designs programmes for feeding, lighting, vaccination and evaluates flock results to ensure that we meet breeder targets. Ted Whitaker (Director)
Ted has a lifetime experience, within the poultry industry. He qualified with a Diploma in Poultry Production from the West of Scotland College, in 1962. He worked in the family firm coming up through the ranks to reach the position of managing director in 1975, which he held until 2008. During these years, Ted developed the Company, from a small local supplier to an important Irish industry supplier. This has been achieved by always producing quality stock, which our customers rely on.
Joe O’Gorman (Director)
Joe joined the Company in 1980, having qualified with a Certificate and Diploma in Poultry Production at the Munster Institute, Cork. He initially commenced as a flock supervisor, since then Joe has had the experience of working through various positions within Whitakers and advanced to his present position of Managing Director. He also has formal qualifications in both Accounting and Marketing. Joe enjoys engaging with all our customers. Joe can be contacted at [email protected]
